‘Gorilla Man' from Iconic '80s Ads | Fight Back! Classics

David Horowitz once tested the iconic 1980s American Tourister commercial on a past Fight Back! episode. The famous ad featured actor and professional mime Don McLeod as the suited gorilla. In this segment, Horowitz visits the studio of special effects icon David Miller. Miller is one of the artists who helped design and build popular movie characters like Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator, the aliens from Cocoon, and Freddy Krueger. Horowitz interviews McLeod, whose performance as the gorilla earned him a Clio Award. The Clio is considered the Oscar of the advertising world.
